Welcome to Our School Library
At Ruswarp, we take pride in our well-stocked library. We understand the importance of providing our pupils with a diverse range of books and resources that cater to various interests and academic needs. Our collection is carefully curated to ensure that every child finds something that not only educates but also inspires them. We believe that a good book can open doors to new worlds and ideas, and our library is designed to foster this discovery.
The library is more than just a place for books; it is a vibrant social hub of our school. During lunchtime, it becomes a lively centre where children can gather to discuss their latest reads or collaborate on projects. This environment encourages them to share knowledge and develop their social skills in a supportive setting. Our aim is to make the library a cornerstone of the school community, where children feel both challenged and at home.
In addition to our own school library, we regularly visit the local library in Whitby, where children have access to an even wider range of titles and the expertise of the friendly librarian. It's a super-comfy space to sit and relax with a good book and it helps us to encourage positive reading habits to last a lifetime.
We are committed to inspiring a love of reading and learning in all our pupils. The library’s role in their educational journey is pivotal.
